FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
I have made a very deliberate decision to participate as an in-network provider for only two insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna. If you have either of these insurances I am happy to bill your insurance company directly and receive payment from them.
While I cannot guarantee your exact coverage, I will do my best to find out before your first visit. I also provide detailed billing statements that you can submit to you insurance company for possible reimbursement if I am out of your network.
How long are sessions?
Session are typically 55 minutes long.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you miss your session or cancel less than 24 hours in advance, it will be charged to you at the rate of a normal session. Missed sessions cannot be billed to your insurance company.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.
Do you prescribe medication?
As a clinical psychologist, I am unable to prescribe medication. I can talk with you about your medication concerns and refer you to an appropriate specialist in that area.
Do you do psychological testing?
I focus my practice on psychotherapy and so I do not currently do psychological testing. I have a large referral network, however, and would be happy to direct you to the appropriate professional.
